OUR APPROACH
Extend your Living space outdoors
A pergola transforms an ordinary backyard into a destination. Whether you’re after dappled shade for morning coffee, a weatherproofed space for year-round entertaining, or a defined outdoor room for the family, we’ll design and build a structure that fits your home perfectly.
We install louvred and insulated roof systems as well as custom-built timber pergolas for a more organic, architectural feel. All structures are fully licensed, built to Australian standards, and engineered to handle the Gold Coast’s coastal conditions.
Every pergola project is managed personally by Rich from design and council advice through to the final install and handover.

Why CHOOSE LONSDALE BUILT?
What makes Our Pergolas different
Too many pergola installs are rushed jobs with off-the-shelf components and no real consideration of how the structure works with your home. We approach every pergola as an architectural addition, one that should look like it belongs there, not bolted on as an afterthought.
Our strong supplier relationships mean access to better roofing systems, frames, and accessories at better pricing than retail and we’ll guide you through every option at your on-site consultation.
Designed to Suit Your Home
We assess your home’s style, orientation, and how you want to use the space before recommending any structure.
Built to Last
Every pergola is engineered for the Gold Coast climate: UV, rain, and coastal salt air are all accounted for in our material and finish choices.
Licensed in both states
QLD and NSW licensed no complications for projects near the border or across the state line.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Pergolas FAQ
Do I need council approval for a pergola?
It depends on the size, height, and whether it’s attached to your home. Many pergolas fall under exempt development. We’ll advise exactly where your project sits and help with any DA or CDC application required.
What’s the difference between louvred and insulated?
Louvred roofs have adjustable aluminium slats you control how much light and air gets through, and they close completely in rain. Insulated roofs are fixed solid panels that keep heat out in summer and rain off year-round. Both are great, we’ll help you choose at your consultation.
Can I add lighting, fans, or blinds?
Absolutely, we quote these as additions upfront. Ceiling fans, outdoor LED strip lighting, and motorised or fixed outdoor blinds are all popular additions that extend the usability of your pergola significantly.
How long does a pergola build take?
Most standard pergola installs are completed in 3–7 working days. Larger or more complex structures may take a little longer. We’ll give you a clear timeline in your quote and stick to it.
